Stretch Stretch Stretch
I am just having some random thoughts about everything right now. I have four blogs in here and I don't really have anything to write about. hahah! Just a thought, before anything else, there is one important thing you would need to do before anything else. Before you start jogging, doing drills, playing, etc., do some stretching. STRETCH! Do this after too. It is very important. Stretch before and after. It helps a lot. It prevents injuries and muscle pains.

Stuff That You Will Need
Like any other sport, there are certain equipment that you would need to play the game. You do not need anything flashy since are just starting. When I started, I started without a racket. I just used the rackets that were available for training purposes in our school. My clothes were not really meant for badminton. I wore my brother's basketball shorts sometimes. Then my shoes was just a rubber shoes that was purchased a while back. I did not care what I wore as long as I get to learn everything about badminton.
So I think I have mentioned the equipment you need above. Let me just enumerate all of the here:
1. Comfy badminton clothes (anything that gets you to move freely and comfortably)
2. Rubber Shoes (not the running type please)
3. Racket (for training, go for a cheap one coz you might drop it a lot)
4. Shuttlecock (badminton ball)
5. Badminton Net
6. Badminton Court
Those are pretty much it. Usually for the shuttlecocks, net and court, they are sponsored by our school. But if you are already out of school or learning outside of the school environment, there are lots of places where you could get them. Badminton shuttlecocks are sold at sports shop or stores. Then there are badminton courts available everywhere. You can go there and rent. No need to build your own court. Then the last thing you will need will be someone to help you with your training. It could be a friend who knows the sport well, or a professional trainer. The badminton courts usually have the contact numbers for those trainers. Or you may keep on checking this blog for I will be posting more soon. I hope to create videos for my tutorials. I still would need to learn the art of editing videos though and I am yet to find a model. Stay tuned!
How I Started Out with Badminton
First of all, when you want to play badminton you really got to have the love for the sport. Love it so much so you won't feel like giving up on it. Eventually in the future, you will reap the fruits of you love and labor.
I started out on the streets. I usually asks my Mama to buy me one of those buy one take one badminton toys. They are really cheap. They get torn fast and the shuttle is just made of low quality plastic. But I play with them with my cousins. I enjoy all of those moments and I love it so much. I actually just fell in love with and enjoyed my moments with it without expecting anything. I did not know I was going to do good at it in the future.
A day came when badminton was introduced to our school. I immediately signed up for the summer training. I did my best to learn all the basics. I spent some extra time executing the strokes and footwork on my own. That's how bad I wanted to learn the sport. The main drive was because I love it.
This is just the same as saying if you love something, work hard for it. So want it, plan it, go for it!

My First Love
My first love. It usually refers to someone that you love. Like a person in your life that means so much to you. It's not like that for me. I know. Things in my life has never been normal even until now.
My first love is actually a sport. As obvious as it that title of this blog is, yes it is badminton! I love badminton. Even before it was not really known, I have loved that sport. Every time my mom goes to the city to buy some stuff, I always ask her to bring me some badminton rackets and balls. It does not matter if it's the buy one take one thing. I play with them until we cannot use them anymore. Then one day the sport was introduced in school. I immediately signed up. We did some summer training and in three months time, started joining in competitions. I did well. I have played badminton for more than 10 years. That's like half my life. I had some achievements too.
So no matter where I go. No matter who comes in to my life. No matter what I will be in the future, badminton will always be my first love. Since I am quite good at this, I will try my best to put some useful contents in here.
